The Early Poineers
My Origonal two families in Australia were John THOMAS who arrived in Queensland on board the "Parsee." Jane Ann KINSEY arrived in Queensland on board the "Maria Sommes." Below is a family tree for THOMAS & KINSEY
John THOMAS was the son of John THOMAS & Sarah HUGHES of St Clears, Llanstephen/ Lansteffan, Carmenthenshire, Wales. The 1851 census shows Sarah living with her four sons, Henry 14, John 13, Richard 8 & Evan Thomas 6. Their father John is not listed so it is presumed that he was deceased somewhere between 1844 - 1851.
Jane Ann KINSEY born November 1845, Llanwenargth, Monmouthshire, Wales, was the daughter of Thomas KINSEY & Ann THOMAS (no relation that I know of.

D 6 Jun 1878 at Laura River, Palmer Road (I beleive buried on Fairview Station, Laura North Queensland.) There is a headstone in the Swan Creek Cemetery to him memory, but he is not buried there.

About the Family Roots
(1) Thomas Edward THOMAS married Ann Marie FREE 13th May 1885 & had the following children
(1) William Edward THOMAS 18th April D 13 Jun 1916 and is buried in Cooktown, Queensland.
(2) Albert Edmund THOMAS 25 Dec 1887 D 23 Oct 1891 and is buried in Cooktown Cemetery.
(3) Alice Maud THOMAS 5 Aug 1889 D 6 Aug and is buried in Cooktown Cemetery
Thomas Edward THOMAS died 14 jan 1924 and is buried in Cooktown Cemetery
Ann Maree FREE died 24 Mar 1941 in Brisbane, Queensland and her cremated remains were buried in the Cooktown Cemetery Jun 1940

Alice Maud was the daughter of Walter Charles CLIFFORD & Mary Jane POWELL
They had one daughter who never married
Augustase Fairview Jane THOMAS.
In circa 1900 the family adopted a part aborigonal name Blanche Foley and raised her as their own
